STAND UP! for Plus One 2023
Our Plus One family came together on April 1st, 2023 for an amazing evening filled with stand up comedy by Meaghan Gross, Cara Rosellini, and John Gard!
We enjoyed speeches from our founder, Kacey, and board members Christina and Karen. We spent the evening listening to hilarious stand up comedy, bidding on live and silent auctions, raise the paddle, and competed in dessert dash. Thank you so much to everyone that spread the word, attended the event, and brought their friends and family.

Meaghan Gross - Headliner
Meaghan is a Seattle native, mom, Interior Designer and all-around great lady. She loves making people laugh and sharing her unique perspectives with anyone that’s willing to listen. When not performing or designing something, she enjoys exploring the world with her amazing husband Tom.
Cara Rosellini - Comedian
Cara Rosellini is a stand up comedian, actor and writer who started her career in LA and continues to work in Seattle. Her dry style and sharp writing keeps a captive audience laughing…or curious. She has competed in the Seattle Comedy Competition twice and is a regular feature in Seattle comedy clubs such as Laugh’s and Club Comedy. Cara has performed in numerous clubs up and down the west coast including the Laugh Factory, the Hollywood Improv., the Comedy Store and Rooster T. Feathers to name a few. She has also performed in various bookstores, bars, restaurants, living rooms and a van.

John Gard - Comedian
John Gard started comedy in Houston at seventeen after a tumultuous childhood and proceeded to grow up on stage. After winning the title of Houston's Funniest Person in 2009, he became a regularly featured performer at the Houston and Hollywood Improvs, opening for Jon Lovitz, Charlie Murphy, Maz Jobrani, Ali Siddiq, Paul Mooney, Cheryl Underwood, and many more as well as a long touring history with Pablo Francisco. Now, eighteen years later, John is known as one of the most powerful performers in the up an coming comedy world and is lauded for his unshakable comfort on any stage. His silly and sometimes odd outlooks combine with a near childlike energy and joy of being onstage to charm every crowd he meets. He is fluent in Portuguese as well as toddler. From jokes about being a father, traveling, or what the contents might be of a romance novel written for dogs, John Gard is sure to tease out the loudest belly laughs from any audience.
