Today, we proudly celebrate National Nurses Day and kick off National Nurses Week (beginning May 6th) with gratitude and admiration for the important work of nurses.
On behalf of Plus One Foundation of Seattle, I want to recognize the extraordinary nurses who serve our community and especially those supporting individuals living with traumatic brain injuries and neurological conditions. Your skill, compassion, patience, and dedication make a profound difference every single day.
You are often the steady presence in moments of uncertainty, the advocate in times of need, and the source of comfort and strength for so many.
Our community needs and values nurses. And we are thankful for the critical role you play in helping people live fuller, more supported lives.
A special thank you as well to our board member, Kevin Johnston, RN, for his ongoing contributions, leadership, and commitment to our mission. Your work exemplifies the very best of the nursing profession.
